Hello Beautiful Souls,

There has been a lot going on as I finish the next level of my Energy Healing journey.  As my Ascension training finishes, I have noticed a deepening and enhanced connection with self, spirit and my guides, along with a wider and stronger connection with my abilities.

As I advance on this journey, I am drawn to add to my services in line with what I am now attuned to.  With this in mind I would like to share with you how I am expanding and what is in the works for the near future.

Subconscious Exploration – this is an opportunity to link into your past lives and spirit guides, you may receive message, answers, or healing that is required to help you here in this life.

Sessions booked during March will be $60, after that sessions will be $80 for 45 minutes.

Meditation 8 Week Workshop – Meditation and the Chakra’s.  Our chakras are the connection between our body and all dimensions.  In this 8 week workshop each week we will explore an individual chakra, helping to open the chakra and bring more balance.  Running each Sunday from the 7th March (skipping Easter Sunday), each session will be 45 minutes.

Womens Circles – are a beautiful way to connect with other women, share, take part in some activities linked to the theme and experience some short meditations.

I have added an additional day at Lotus, you can now find me at Lotus every Wednesday 5-8pm starting from the 3rd March and every second Saturday for reiki/energy healing, life coaching and now subconscious exploration.

There is more that I am working on and I can’t wait to share these with you as I grow and expand what I am called to share with others.

What is kinesiology and how does Sam use it during his sessions?

Our Chiropractor, Sam, uses Kinesiology as a tool to find out what needs to be done to alleviate certain issues in the body. Kinesiology is the technique of using muscle function testing to find these issues. When you test a muscle it’s not only testing the function of that muscle it’s testing the related nerve, organ, meridian, emotional component to that muscle. For example, the lower back has the glutes and piriformis (buttock muscles) which help support our back. Both of these muscles are related to our sex organs which might explain why women sometimes suffer from lower back pain during their period and men suffer lower back pain from an inflamed prostate. Certain clues in the body’s dysfunction are obtained by testing these various muscles.

Rebecca is very passionate about what she does and she does it so well.  But what is myofascial release??

Myofascial release can restore the integrity and proper alignment of your entire fascial system, alleviating pressure, tension and postural distortion/compensation. It can also release long held physical, mental and emotional stress, facilitate the conscious healing of past trauma, and enhance the effectiveness of the body’s innate self-healing mechanisms.

Fascia – the connective tissue that forms a three dimensional web containing and connecting every part of your body – can become distorted through trauma, inflammatory processes, or the sustained effects of poor posture. Our fascia tightens in response to physical and emotional stress, and also in response to the anticipation of physical or emotional stress.

Physical stress might come in the form of long term overuse, sudden impacts such as from a fall or accident, postural distortion, repetition of certain movements over time, lifting a heavy baby or bag of groceries, sports injuries etc. Emotional stress can take many forms, from dealing with grief and loss, experiencing interpersonal conflict, relationship difficulties, challenges in the workplace or simply being too busy and constantly rushing to fit everything in to a hectic life.

When fascia is restricted, it creates enormous pressure on muscles, nerves and blood vessels, impairing our freedom of movement, creating pain, and restricting the flow of blood to every cell in the body. When our blood flow is impeded, our cells do not receive optimum nutrients and oxygen, nor can they effectively clear out metabolic waste products.

Additionally, modern research now views the body as a self-correcting mechanism with bioelectric healing systems – meaning that our body creates microcurrents of electricity and directs them, through the fascia, to where healing is most needed. If our fascia is restricted, the bioelectric flow is impaired, and our body’s capacity to self-heal becomes weakened. This creates the conditions in which disease and dysfunction arise and flourish.

Myofascial release plays an important role in restoring the health of our bioelectric pathways, and therefore our capacity to self heal, making it a valuable adjunct in the holistic treatment of all health conditions and an essential element of any genuinely effective wellness program.

Kirsty’s tip for Autumn – PRESERVATION…

Arriving after summer when many fruits and vegetables are in abundance, autumn represents the season of preservation. A time to catch and store energy, one of twelve permaculture principles. Preserving food is relatively new for me but is a great way to become more self-sufficient, (re)connect with your produce (especially if home grown), reduce carbon footprint, reduce waste, helps save some money but most of all is super tasty and nutritious.

One way of preserving your summer crops is dehydrating. Check out our big batch of dehydrated bananas, which make the perfect healthy sweet snack. Made by simply slicing each banana into equal thickness, spreading them out evenly onto sheets and dehydrating at 60 degrees Celsius overnight (roughly 10 hours).

If you’ve got plenty of tomatoes try making a big batch of tomato passata or simply try dehydrating some herbs to flavour your dishes during winter or freeze your leftover meat, chicken or shellfish carcass add in some end of carrots, celery, onions and top with water to make home made stock without all the preservatives. YUM 🙂
